Operational Procedures

Special Marshals participate in scheduled patrols and other official duties, working alongside regular FRSC officers. Patrol activities are regulated to ensure safety and order. Each patrol unit is required to register its route with the Duty Room, and reports must be submitted after each patrol.

Types of Patrols

  1. Highway Patrol: Special Marshals monitor traffic flow, enforce road safety laws, and assist during emergencies.
  2. Emergency Response: Special Marshals are trained to manage accident scenes and assist with rescue operations.
  3. Awareness Patrols: These patrols focus on educating road users about safe driving practices.

Reporting and Handover

After each patrol, the team leader is responsible for submitting a detailed report to the Unit Coordinator. This ensures accountability and documentation of all activities during patrol. Any confiscated items must be handed over to the Duty Office, and appropriate records must be maintained.
