Overview of the Guidelines

The Special Marshals Guidelines, govern the operations, responsibilities, and conduct of all Special Marshals. These guidelines ensure that Special Marshals carry out their duties with professionalism, integrity, and efficiency, helping the FRSC achieve its road safety goals.

Patrol Operations

Special Marshals perform various tasks, including regular patrols on highways, rescue operations, traffic management, and road safety education. They work in teams under the supervision of the Corps to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and the enforcement of road safety rules.

Uniform & Conduct

All Special Marshals are required to wear their official uniform, which is issued by the FRSC. They must maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance at all times. Additionally, they must adhere strictly to the FRSC code of conduct, which promotes courtesy, fairness, and respect.

Offence Handling

Special Marshals are empowered to issue notices of offence for traffic violations. However, they must adhere to strict procedures in handling offences and issuing penalties. The guidelines ensure that no Special Marshal acts outside their duties or engages in corrupt practices.
